Bob Log III Taiwan Tour

Bob Log III drank from the same bourbon bottle as a generation of great Mississippi blues artists. He took it in deeply, held it for a second, and then spat out an intoxicating sound that was pure American south. Reinterpreting Delta Blues by way of AC/DC, Bob has toured with Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Beck and Ween. HIs first two albums were released on Epitaph Records, then he moved for a while to the legendary blues label Fat Possum Records. A self styled "one man guitar party", he plays guitar with his hands, drums with his feet and sings into a telephone receiver attached to his motorcycle helmet. He looks like a guy you should shoot out of a cannon. Instead he plays rock n roll!

Critics have labeled him everything from lo-fi to trash-rock to garage and punk. But really, if it got a beat and a tail wagging on it, itsBob Log music! A typical show includes boobs getting dipped in scotch, young people stage diving or swan diving, and up to three women at a time balancing on his knees while he plays cymbals, a snare drum, and guitar; a damn riot of activity on and off stage.

Tom Waits once said: "And then there's this guy named Bob Log, you ever heard of him? He's this little kid — nobody ever knows how old he is — wears a motorcycle helmet and he has a microphone inside of it and he puts the glass over the front so you can't see his face, and plays slide guitar. It's just the loudest strangest stuff you've ever heard. You don’t understand one word he's saying. I like people who glue macaroni on to a piece of cardboard and paint it gold. That's what I aspire to basically."

偉大的波本威士忌不只養育了整個偉大的密西西比藍調世代，同時也滋養了Bob Log III；於是他大喝一口，品嘗了一會，接著吐出帶勁的純正南方之聲；且用他反芻出的獨門AC/DC式三角洲藍調，和Jon Spencer Blues Explosion、Beck、Ween一同巡迴。在由Epitaph發行了首兩張專輯後，Bob轉由經典的藍調廠牌Fat Possum負責其作品。自稱「一人吉他派對」的他，手彈吉他腳踢鼓、透過摩托車安全帽上的對講機發聲、穿的像是玩炮彈飛車的傢伙… 但別搞錯了！他可是活脫脫的搖滾硬漢！

從lo-fi到 trash-rock到車庫到龐克，樂評幫他貼了一堆標籤；但說真的，只要有節奏有粉絲，就足夠是Bog Log的音樂！表演總是有淌著蘇格蘭威士忌的ㄋㄟㄋㄟ、人體衝浪、三個辣妹在他忙著敲鈸，踢鼓，彈吉他時還坐到他的膝蓋上… 無論台上台下，都忙著天殺的瘋狂暴動！

Tom Waits曾說了：「你聽過一個叫Bog Log的傢伙嗎？一個彈滑音吉他，頭戴接了麥克風的摩托安全帽裡面還掛了付墨鏡，看不清啥樣的小鬼- 噢沒人知道他幾歲：他絕對會是你聽過最吵最怪的玩意。他唱啥你一個字也聽不懂。但像是我喜歡把通心粉黏在硬紙板還塗成金色的怪咖，Bob Log那樣是我始終憧憬的。」
